Teeth Whitening Trays
Like Britesmile, these products contain peroxide(s) which actually bleach the tooth enamel. Carbamide peroxide is the bleaching agent and comes in several different concentrations (10%, 16%, and 22%). Peroxide-containing whiteners typically come in a gel and are placed in a very small light clear custom bleaching tray. Usage regimens vary but typically the trays are used for about an hour once a day for a two week period When you obtain the bleaching solution from our office, we make a custom-fitted whitening tray utilizing a simple impression so the trays will fit your teeth precisely.
Tray whitening, while taking longer to accomplish its results than Britesmile , is good for those patients that don't want to sit for 2-3 hours in the dental office. Plus touch up is easier, since the trays can be reused in the future.
