CEREC
CEREC is an advanced dental technology that is utilized for the restoration of decayed, cracked, or chipped teeth. CEREC can create full crowns, inlays, onlays, and veneers, crafting a restoration in a matter of minutes. CEREC restorations are made of compressed porcelain; for this reason they are stronger than laboratory restorations, which are made of layered porcelain. The most beneficial feature of receiving a CEREC restoration is that it is accomplished in one visit. In addition, there is no uncomfortable impression material to bite on or temporary to wear.
The procedure for placement of a CEREC restoration is very simple. The first step is to remove all decay from the tooth. The doctor will then shape the tooth in preparation to take a digital picture. The tooth is then sprayed with a very fine powder, allowing the digital camera to take an acceptable image. Once this image is captured, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will allow the doctor to design the restoration right in front of you. Once the design is completed, the CEREC machine will mill the restoration. This step takes approximately 15 minutes, and you can actually watch this process if you would like. When the restoration is finished milling, the doctor will place the restoration. The entire process typically takes just over an hour.

Digital X-Rays
Digital x-rays are quickly becoming the standard in dental imaging. Digital x-rays allow the doctor to get a much better view of your teeth and potential dental conditions. The digital imaging software allows the doctor to see a number of different views of the tooth to better determine the proper course of treatment. Digital x-rays provide a great benefit to you, the patient – not only are they an excellent diagnostic tool, but they decrease radiation exposure by over 80%.
Rotary Root Canal
Rotary root canal (or "endodontics") is a method in which the doctor utilizes an electric handpiece to perform the procedure. The electric handpiece allows the doctor to clean and shape the canals faster than using hand files. In addition, because it's electric, there is no drill noise, making the treatment experience much more pleasant.
Intraoral Camera
Intraoral cameras are an excellent means of allowing the patient to view potential dental conditions in their own mouth. It is much easier to understand what is happening in your mouth if you can see the problem on a computer monitor. This digital image can also be utilized to provide information to insurances and other doctors if necessary.
Tissue Laser
Laser, as many people know, has become a very effective instrument in the field of medicine and science in general. A laser employs optics and transistor technology to focus light beams in a way that apply energy in a variety of different ways. In dentistry the most common use of laser is for the reshaping, removing, and cutting of gum tissue. The advantages of a laser over conventional surgical cutting is that it produces a finer, thinner cutting zone, which results in improved healing and less bleeding and is generally accompanied by less discomfort. In fact, in certain situations, small incisions or tissue removal can be done with minimal to no anesthesia, and sutures may not be needed. Furthermore, the laser tends to sterilize the cutting zone, reducing the possibility of infection. All in all, tissue laser treatment offers a lot of nice benefits!
Radiosurge
Radiosurge is another great technology that has found a home in some dental offices. While not as new as lasers, it does many of the same things. However, rather than employing focused light beams, it employs a computer system that focuses radio waves through a fine-tipped handpiece. It can quickly and cleanly remove excess gum tissue, as well as reshape and cut soft tissue as needed. Minimal discomfort and bleeding are key benefits. As with the laser, radiosurge offers many benefits for our patients.
